Went to an open drawing session in the neighborhood last night. It was fun. The model was late so some of the participating drawers took turns posing to get us all warmed up.

New Gallery Commission

A collector of mine was interested in having me do an update on a painting I did some 4-5 years ago. What struck them about the original piece was the angelic-Virgin Mary quality of the subjects gaze and her grimy subway environment. It was fun doing a new version, the client didn't want a re-creation or a copy and left it up to me as far as color was concerned. Here are the various stages including the older piece.
